Research Themes
FFR has organised its research activities into four Research Themes, designed to group activities logically and on a manageable scale.
The Themes are:
Activities within each Theme are overseen by a Theme Leader and a Technical Committee made up of Members’ representatives who help to identify research needs, set priorities and make recommendations on research programmes. They also have an important role in ensuring research results are disseminated to member organisations.
Members meet at least twice a year to plan research priorities and to receive updates from research personnel on the results of research work. Research outcomes are communicated to members via workshops, field days, presentations, written and published reports and via electronic media. The members section of this web site is a primary means of communicating information back to members.
