| Russell Dale Chief Executive Officer Management of Future Forest Research Limited is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer. Russell Dale has held senior executive positions in a number of New Zealand’s largest forestry companies and has been involved in all aspects of indigenous and plantation forest management . Russell is based at the FFR Head Office in Rotorua. FFR currently groups its activities under four Research Themes, Radiata Management, Diversified species, Harvesting and Supply Chain Management, and Environment and Social. The Chief Executive ensures that there is co-ordination and integration across the four research themes and is responsible for managing relationships with investors, including Foundation for Research, Science and Technology (FRST), and other research organisations such as WQI and RPBC. |

Veronica Bennett Veronica Bennett is an experienced administrator who has worked previously in the forest industry and managed her own small business. |
Technical LeadershipEach research theme is led by a Theme Leader who works with research partners to scope, guide and direct projects. Theme Leaders have been selected for their industry knowledge and experience and chair Technical Committees for each Research Theme. FFR has assembled a team of very experienced and respected industry people to lead each theme. The four Theme Leaders are: |

Mike Riordan Radiata Management Mike Riordan manages his own nursery business but has considerable experience in technical forest management, research and development and planning in both small and large scale plantation forest companies. |

Keith Raymond Harvesting and Logistics Keith Raymond has wide experience in harvesting research at the former NZFRI and LIRO organisations before working in operational and supply chain management roles in New Zealand’s largest forest companies in the Central North Island. |

Kit Richards Environment and Social Kit Richards is Environment Manager for PF Olsen Ltd in Rotorua and has a wide background in indigenous and plantation forest management, resource management, forest certification and promoting the sustainability of forestry. |

Patrick Milne Diversified Species Patrick Milne has a long experience of research in the forest sector, particularly in species other than Radiata pine. He is President of the NZ Farm Forestry Association and runs a business specialising in the propagation and nursery production of Cypress trees. |
GovernanceGovernance of FFR is provided by a board of seven directors who are responsible for research strategy, funding and ensuring sound management performance. Four directors are elected by the fee-paying industry members, one is appointed to bring the perspective of small forest owners to the Board and two are appointed by Scion to bring research management expertise to the Board.
